Another novel by Jacek Dukaj (Aguerre at Dawn, Extensa and Perfect Imperfection), in which the main element of the world is the society of posthumans - individuals, to whom the technological progress had allowed to achieve powers/possibilities/skills inaccessible to the old good Homo sapiens. The co-existence vision of the two species described in Perfect imperfection seems to be the most mature vision, and surely the most optimistic one. In the middle of this vivid world the author resurrects Zamoyski, a character who quickly attracts the attention of every group of interests having access to the 'Time well'. The novel, despite of not being as popular as Other Songs has won the author another Zajdel Prize.
